Relationships shape the quality of our lives

WHO AM I

I am a counsellor and social worker. I have worked with individuals, couples and families for more than 25 years, striving to facilitate growth and healing in relationships and empowering individuals to thrive on their own and in their connections with others. Through my work, I have had the privilege to observe how a professional can help others untangle the difficulties in their lives and find new avenues of growth and meaning.

My Focus Areas

Imago Relationship Therapy

The Imago process helps couples establish a foundation of safety in their relationship. By learning to be fully present for their partner—without judgment—they can foster a deeper connection. This deeper connection allows them to navigate differences, frustrations, and conflicts more constructively. As a result, both partners can thrive individually and build a stronger, more fulfilling relationship together

Families

Family relationships are essential for support, but dynamics can sometimes cause distress. Counselling provides a safe space to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen bonds. It helps family members express feelings, understand each other, and develop healthier interactions—creating a supportive home where everyone can thrive

Parenting

Empowering parents with skills to navigate challenges, foster connection, and raise confident, responsible kids in a supportive, nurturing home.

Co-parenting

Guiding separated, divorced, or unmarried parents to share parental rights and responsibilities in raising their children, through improving communication, reducing conflict, and fostering a stable environment the children. Decision-making, conflict resolution, and emotional management strategies are developed, prioritizing the children’s well-being and best interests. Parents are supported in building a cooperative, constructive co-parenting relationship.

Trauma debriefing

Clients can process distressing or traumatic experiences in a safe space. They are guided in expressing their thoughts and emotions, understanding their reactions, and developing coping strategies to manage the effects of trauma. Debriefing helps reduce psychological distress, prevent long-term emotional harm, and promote recovery, allowing clients to move forward after the experience.

Bereavement counselling

Clients are supported as they navigate the loss experienced. Through emotional support, guidance, and coping strategies, they are provided with a safe space to express their feelings, understand their grief, and adjust to life after their loss. Many experience intense sadness, difficulty moving forward, or feelings of isolation. This process fosters healing and adaptation in a healthy and meaningful way.

Personal growth

Clients are guided in building self-awareness and unlocking their potential. Focus is placed on boosting self-confidence, enhancing emotional well-being, setting and achieving goals, and overcoming challenges. Strategies for navigating life transitions, improving decision-making, and fostering personal growth are gained, fostering building of resilience and experiencing greater fulfilment in life.

Anger and anxiety management

This approach helps clients manage anger constructively by focusing on relaxation, communication, and problem-solving techniques. The goal is to improve emotional regulation, reduce the negative impact of uncontrolled anger on relationships, and foster healthier interactions.
